Living Landscapes Special Events We spread the word about Living Landscapes by hosting celebrations in five Upper Fraser Basin communities including, Valemount, Burns Lake, Williams Lake, Quesnel and Prince George, during 2001-02. Approximately 4,500 people attended these three-day events where they met local Living Landscapes researchers and RBCM curators from Victoria. The events featured special exhibits from the RBCM's massive collections as well as fascinating illustrated talks and demonstrations on a variety of topics by local and museum experts. Special hands-on programs were also offered to local student groups and close to 2,000 students from grades 3 through 7 eventually took part. The RBCM takes great pride in having jointly producing these Living Landscapes celebrations in partnership with the local community museums in each location.
